Among these, you'll find the iconic 'boarder' tee, a design that rose to prominence in the late 1940s thanks to Jantzen Knitting Mills of Portland, Oregon. These tees were a staple in their Sun Clothes range, featuring vibrant wide stripes. These shirts quickly became a symbol among surfers and skateboarders, gaining widespread popularity from the late 1950s through the 1960s, coinciding with the rise of skateboarding.
